Key takeaways
- Ask every agency the same six questions, so you compare like with like.
- Written answers count fully, spoken promises only half, vague answers not at all.
- One red flag on access or money outweighs a high score everywhere else.
- Success stories without a time period or a before-and-after-fees basis are not proof.
The six questions
- Who is my contact, and who covers when they are away? You want a name, not “the team”.
- What exactly will you do? Chat, content planning, pricing, social media, protection? Which parts are included, which cost extra?
- How is the fee calculated? The percentage, whether it applies before or after the platform fee, to all revenue or only new revenue, and any other costs.
- Who controls my account? Login, two-factor authentication, recovery details, payouts and approvals.
- What will I see every week? Ask for an example of the review or report.
- How do I leave? Notice period, final statement, open fan requests and removing access.
Green flags vs red flags
| Topic | Green flag | Red flag |
|---|---|---|
| Money | Percentage and what it applies to are in writing before you sign | A number without a basis, or pressure to decide today |
| Upfront payments | None, or a clearly described service you can check | A “starter package” paid in advance with no clear service |
| Access | Delegated access for agreed tasks; login, 2FA and payouts stay with you | Asking for your password, 2FA codes or a change of payout details |
| Contact | One named, reachable person with a backup | Changing contacts, or nobody answers |
| Proof | Example reports and results with a time period and basis | Income promises or screenshots without dates |
| Exit | Notice, final statement and access removal are in the agreement | No clear exit, or clauses explained only after signing |
| Company | The agreement clearly names who you are signing with | Only a social media profile or messenger contact |
An upfront fee is not automatically a scam; what matters is whether a clear, checkable service stands behind it. Our article on OnlyFans agency red flags covers more warning signs.
How to score
For each of the six questions, give every agency points:
- 2 points if the answer is clear and in writing (offer, agreement or website).
- 1 point if it was only said on a call.
- 0 points if it stayed vague or was avoided.
Twelve is the maximum. Then apply one rule that beats the total: any red flag on access or money, such as a request for your password or a fee without a basis, means you stop and ask more before going any further. Use our commission calculator to compare what each offer would leave you with on the same revenue.
Reading reviews and success stories
Reviews on forums, quotes on agency websites and screenshots on social media can be a hint, but they are not proof. Look for three things: the time period, whether the figure is before or after the platform fee and agency share, and whether you could check it. A screenshot without a date tells you very little.
And remember: even honest results from another creator are not a promise for you. Your content, your audience and your time are different.
Our own answers
It would be strange to hand you a scorecard and dodge it ourselves. Here is how Ventures answers the six questions:
- One manager for your page and a short weekly review, in English or German.
- Full management: 24/7 chat in your voice, content planning and pricing, social media growth on Instagram, TikTok, Reddit and X, brand look and tone, and leak protection with takedown requests.
- 25–50% of revenue after the platform fee (OnlyFans keeps 20%, our share applies to the remaining 80%, including existing revenue), agreed in writing. No upfront fees, no extra fees.
- You keep ownership, login, two-factor authentication, recovery details and payouts. Delegated access where the platform supports it; you can revoke it anytime.
- Every week: what you earned, what worked, what is next.
- Cancel monthly, or immediately if we both agree.

Frequently asked questions
Which OnlyFans agency is the best?
The one whose written scope, fee basis and capacity fit your page and your goals. That is different for every creator, which is why the same six questions for every agency work better than any ranking.
Is an upfront fee always a scam?
Not automatically. What matters is whether a clear, checkable service stands behind it. Ventures charges no upfront fees and no extra fees.
An agency asked for my password. What now?
Treat it as a red flag. Serious agencies work with delegated access where the platform supports it, and your login, two-factor authentication and payouts stay with you. Ask why they need it, and do not share it.
How many agencies should I compare?
Two or three is usually enough to see the differences without getting lost. Ask each one the same six questions, score the answers and keep the written offers side by side before you decide.
